FULL SERVICE MYLAR ENCAPSULATION
VERIFIED PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION
Regardless of what you may have been told or seen, many of the materials you store your paper collectibles in are NOT archival safe. Plastics, vinyls and other storage materials slowly oxidize releasing harmful acids that are slowly eating away at your paper collectible.
Mylar was first introduced about 40 years ago, the knowledge of it benefits over other common plastics was not widespread and the use of using Mylar was even less widespread. Today, dealers and collectors are starting to realize the importance of using Mylar for long-term preservation of their collections.
In addition to the brilliance and clarity of Mylar which enhances the appearance of any paper collectible, it is an effective barrier against acidity which is the primary cause of paper deterioration. Mylar will not discolor, damage or adhere to items placed inside. It is resistant to moisture, insect attacks, fungus, mold, mildew, oils, grease and solvents.
Mylar contains no dangerous plasticizers, anti-oxidants or acid-hydrolysis.
We use only the highest quality PET - archive grade polyester film.
